Gumboot Throwing Competition

As I entered the entrance of the Olympic hall near
Wigram Primary School, sweat came falling down on my soft,
smooth cheeks. I got inside, suddenly someone behind me,
wearing a super dark blue coat and a hoodie pushed me for no reason,
so I accidentally tripped and throwed my colourful, heavy gumboot to one of the judges head ‘ oops’ I
accidentally said loudly. I was so embarrassed that I ran as fast as lightning but the person who pushed
me blocked the way so that I could get into trouble. I was trying to find a way to escape but before I could
one of the judge wearing a black, plain, long sleeve shirt ‘ come back here’ the judge yelled. I felt like
it was the end of me but suddenly  all the judge announced ‘ that was a very, very amazing throw,
how did you do that?’ I froze like a statue, I couldn’t explain how I throwed my own colourful gumboot.
After freezing like a statue I finally figured out, the person who pushed me actually helped me.
I was thinking so much about why that person would help me, that I wasn’t even paying
attention on what the judges were saying but it was fine cause I remembered to stop thinking.
I finally told the judges how I did that. After 1 hour of chatting with them. They told everyone
the Gumboot Throwing Competition is over cause I was the winner of the competition.
They gave me a really heavy, gold, shiny, shimmery trophy. I walked home and showed
my family my trophy.

A & P Show

I strongly think you should definitely visit the

‘ A & P Show ‘ cause you will definitely enjoy it.

I am trying to persuade you to visit the ‘ A & P Show ‘ because there
is a lot to see that you never saw before, like a black and white pet
rat that looks like a tiny baby guinea pig.

Here are some of my reasons why you should come and visit the
show. First reason is you can have a lot of fun like going on the rides
and a feeding animals like guinea pigs and lambs.

Second reason is you can get a lot of free stuff like sweet lollies,
swimming bags and cute stickers.

Third reason is you can touch and carry animals like a little cute
pig, cute baby goats and a really hairy cute guinea pig

So after all of these interesting reasons, you can see that you should
come to the ‘ A & P Show ‘ next year.

I strongly think that fireworks shouldn’t be sold to people that uses them for their own displays. I think that fireworks should only be used for public displays.

I feel this way because  maybe people gets really injured and also animals and pets can die by the firework hitting them and also when people gets silly with them it can cause a lot of issue like it might burn the whole house

One story that shows how dangerous home fireworks can be is when our teacher Miss Thomason told us a story about her friend that was a boy he was being silly about fireworks and he got his 3 fingers cut off and he had to call the ambulance by his own.

Conclusion

So, after all of these amazing and clear reasons, I strongly feel that fireworks should not be sold out to people that use them by their own.

Nicky And The Magical Bottle

On a misty, spring afternoon, Nicky, who is a beautiful girl, flicked her long light brown, shiny hair. She was looking with her dark brown eyes, for rubbish, in a park called Roses Park, near Wigram Primary School in the Philippines.

She was picking rubbish with her friend called Robbin. Robbin is a funny, nice guy. He had black hair and he had light brown eyes. They were both 19 years old. They were picking up rubbish because they wanted the park to be clean and no rubbish around the park.

After an hour they started to get tired. Robbin told Nicky that he will go back to his mansion. Nicky said yes.

Just then, when Robbin left Nicky picked up a clear, shiny bottle. She had no idea that the bottle she picked up was a magical bottle and a genie that was a beautiful girl was inside the bottle. Nicky rubbed the the bottle then something happened. There was gold glitter falling from the sky.

After two seconds the genie inside the bottle appeared out from the bottle, Nicky was so scared that she was walking backwards and she fainted. The genie was trying to wake her up but Nicky didn’t waked up at all. The genie wanted to use her magic but Nicky has to tell her to make her wake up but Nicky fainted.

After two minutes Nicky finally woke up. When she woke up she said ‘what are you’, ‘I’m a genie, I will give you three big wishes and a bad reverse will happen to me. If you use the wishes for badness then you can’t be my master anymore. If you tell me to magic small things then your three big wishes are still there’, the genie said with a calm voice.

After a few weird days, Nicky droved to the park and Nicky finally got use to the genie and wished a big thing to the genie wich was Nicky to give the genie’s power to her and the genie said ‘but master Nicky that’s not allowed’, ‘ give your power to me now’, Nicky shouted. Then the genie gave her powers because she can’t not give Nicky the wish. When Nicky got the genie’s power and Nicky turned into a genie and the old genie got free and became a normal human again.

What Nicky doesn’t know that Robin was in the park after all and when he saw nicky and the genie he decided to hide at the back of a tree from the park and watch them. Then Robbin showed himself to Nicky but NIcky didn’t see him because Nicky got stuck in the bottle were the genie came from.

After a few seconds Robbin made Nicky come out of the bottle by rubbing the bottle and then Nicky got out and Nicky said ‘ master robbin’, ‘ i'm your master now’, Robbin laughed.

After two days Robbin and Nicky teleported to the park. When they arrived Robbin told Nicky to magic a bike so Nicky magiced a bike and they started to bike away.

They did one more things. The last one was Nicky magiced a magic carpet and they had a ride in the magic carpet. When Robbin saw Nicky happy Robbin walked up to her and asked what to wished something to her which was Nicky to be free and Nicky did Robbin’s wished then Nicky got free and walked to her family’s house and she lived happily after with Robbin and her family. The End!

What Is Compatible Numbers?

Compatible numbers are normal numbers that is close place value numbers. Compatible numbers only use addition and subtraction but it only suppose to have one subtraction. here's an example
The Question: 9+5+1-6=  Solving the Question: 10+5=15-6=9
How to work the question is you have to redo the question but you need to start with the tidy number by adding 1 to 9 and plus the odd number and then put the take away. Add them together and subtract it and put the answer in that's all you need to do

Examples:

1. 7+3+5-10=  Solving the number: 10+5=15-10=15
2. 4+2+7-6=    Solving the problem: 6+7=13-6=7

Description

The cute Royal Hairy Fantail has a flight feathers so it can fly with it’s soft, beautiful black and white feathers. It has a short beak with a sharp end. It’s feet have three sharp claws. It can grow up to 13 cm tall and it weighs 1 kg. Its eyesight can be good in the morning but at night its eyesight will be blurry. The Royal Hairy Fantail totally looks like it’s from the fantail family of birds.

Habitat

The Royal Hairy Fantail lives in the New Zealand South island native forest. Sometimes they go to other New Zealand South island forests. If the female is pregnant the male will make a nest on a tree where they live.

Summary about my reading book!!

Last week our reading task was to write a summary about a book called The Prince and The Albatross Egg and we needed to write comments on our friends summary also.

This week we are reading “The Prince and The Albatross Egg”. This story is about a prince visiting a children's science museum in wellington. 3 pupils from Halfway Bush School  in Dunedin and 4 pupils at Miramar South School in Wellington was joining to create a project about the Royal Albatross. The prince also joined in. The prince asked the children a hard question

Dunedin and Wellington “met” for a rehearsal. Dunedin and Wellington were shown how to use microphones.

The Dunedin class decorated their tv studio and the Wellington class  keep their models and painting under their chairs.

This week and last week I have been making a poster about private information. When I was making this poster I was thinking this is important because if I share important things about me or address or country people might come to my country and house. tinkercad beast mode

Today we went into Tinkercad Beast mode. We learnt all about the keywords like workplane. This is what we done: 1. put a sphere next to a cube. 2. get two pyramids and make a shape with 6 corners. 3. create a sphere that is  a half  red and  and a half  blue. 4. can you partition a 3D shape into 4 equal parts using 4 different colors.
