EOTC WEEK

Hello, today I will be writing about our EOTC week. I will be writing about my reflection about EOTC week because our teacher has told us to.

To start of with EOTC is short for "Education Outside The Classroom." EOTC is activities out of school. It's trips. EOTC is basically trips but trips from school.

We had 3 days of EOTC, those 3 days are really fun days. In our first day we went to Adrenalin Forest with another Kahui which is Tieke. In our second day we went to Jellie Park but sadly I wasn't there on that trip. In our last day of EOTC, we took a look around places in the city with Riroriro.

Adrenalin Forest:

Adrenalin Forest took a lot of courage in me because I had to went out of my comfort zone. What Adrenalin Forest challenged me the most was the zip-line / flying fox. The flying fox challenged me the most because I felt like I was gonna fall even though I was attacked to the rope. It challenged me the most because I have never been to a type of flying fox like that.

What frightened me the most was the obstacles that had one piece of rope on top and the bottom, I had to walk on that while going fast. It frightened me because it can be really wobbly, and it makes feel like im in danger.

I mainly loved doing the attaching and unattach myself on the ropes. The sound of the hooks is very satisfying. I also loved the flying fox even though that was one thing that challenged me the most but its really fun after a few tries.

I learnt that it can be hard to get out of your comfort zone but if you have fun and try your best to take a step out of your comfort zone you'll really feel like you've achieved something good. I also learnt how Adrealin Forest works and how hard it can be.

Next time I hope I can get up to level 3 at least or higher. I would also love to see how it feels like being at the very top.

Jellie Park:

Jellie Park was our second trip but I sadly couldn't come because it was my dad's birthday and i wasn't quite feeling well, at the same time I didn't want to go swimming. I was really excited to come but I couldn't. If there was a next time I would take my chance to come and not miss it but it was also fun at my dad's birthday.

I hope next time I'll be able to experience Jellie Park with my school mates.

Big Day Out In The City:

In the city we visted many places like the, museum, the Christchurch Library, and Margaret Mahy.

We went to the garden first but we rushed so we couldn't really see many things from the garden.

When we arrived at the museum I felt happy and excited because I was interested in seeing old things with value. I also felt nervous at the same time because I was scared I would break anything or make a mess. The museum was full of surprises. There were a lot of things to play with and to be interested in.

In Turanga I was more interested because I have only been there once and I was interested in their language books. I also wanted to get books but we weren't allowed. The thing that challenged me in Turanga was being quiet and being gentle because I'm not really that quiet and gentle.

Margaret Mahy was full of other schools too. There were a lot of little kids. I was frightened I would run into a small kid and hurt them but over all it was fine, everything was all goods. It was really sunny though.

I mainly loved the view of Turanga because the building was gigantic, beautiful, high. I learnt a lot about other extinct birds like the Moa. I would like to see more of the museum next time.

Over all everything was fun but really tiring at the end of the day. I am very thankful for HHS for giving us 3 days of EOTC. That is all, bye.
