Egg Drop Challenge / Science

Hello there, today we had an egg drop experiment / challenge at science. I will be talking about it today.

Yesterday at science we were working on how to protect our egg and like making a structure. We had to only use Popsicle sticks, bamboo skewers, little foam pieces, tape, rubber bands, one piece of string and a medium sized piece of a garbage bag for our parachute.

We had our structure look like a pyramid, just a bit. It was a triangle shape. We used foam squares at the bottom of each corner of our structure. We added popsicle sticks at the bottom of our triangle to make it like a 3D triangle. We were a group of 6 so we had each two people focus on one thing.

I think the best part of the structure was our little box for our egg covered in paper towels and a black garbage bag.

We made a box using foam squares and then we covered the egg up with a black garbage bag and paper towels. Then we added rubber bands to make the black garbage bag and the paper towels to make it stay covering the egg.

When we had one of our teammates drop the egg it sadly landed on top instead of landing on the bottom. It sadly did not survive. The crack was near the top left of the egg.

If we will do this next time, I would definitely add a parachute and make a paper box that fits the egg and then stick some foam squares on the sides of the box.

Thats all we did.
