Cultural Kete

 Hello, today I will be explaining what we have been doing in our homeroom for the past few weeks. We had this big event coming which was the cultural kete. 

Our cultural kete was about expressing your cultural and being proud of it. It was to see how other cultures are different from that culture. 

The culture I picked was Filipino because I am part of it. The practise that I researched was Filipino games and sports. I chose this because I was interested in it instead of tradition customs.

I want to share these things with you.

1. Did you know that martial arts is the main sport for Philippines. 

2. There are more games I could find other than sports for my cultural practice. 

3. I made a book for my cultural practice.

I wasn't on the big day but while I was making my book I kept thinking what are people going to think of this on the final day. I felt nervous but I didn't feel proud of what I was gonna present because I thought that I could've dag digger for information.

pH Levels

Definition: pH (Potential of hydrogen) is a scale of acidity from 0 - 14 with 7 being neutral.

pH Explained 

All solutions have pH. Acid solutions, have lower pH. Alkaline solutions, have bigger pH. Substances that aren't acid or alkaline (that is, neutral solutions) usually have a pH of 7. Acids have a pH that is less than 7. Alkalies have a pH that is greater than 7.

Robots Make You Lazy!

Hey guys, today I will be sharing my piece of writing I did in Hurumanu 3. This piece of writing is persuasive writing. We had to pick a topic so I picked "robots make you lazy."

Robots Make You Lazy!

Do you want to lose your job? Of course the answer is no! 

It is hard to imagine this modern life without robots. We have become so reliable with technology especially with robots. We are so convinced with how life is much easier with robots. Study shows robots can make you lose your job, make you feel much more enriched with technology, and it is most likely for young people to depend on robots. So I’ve come here to persuade you on why robots make you lazy.

We all know everyone can get lazy so it is very rare for someone not to get lazy. Did you know that it is proven that robots can make us feel enriched with other technology? It enriches our lives. We can literally press a button and most of our problems are solved. Instead of getting up or walking so you can turn off the lights you can just go ask Alexa to do it for you. This won't keep us active or physical. 

Jobs are important in our lives but without it our lives would turn upside down. Did you know that researchers have found that for every robot added per 1000 workers in the US. employment - to - population ratio goes down by 0.2 percentages points. This means the loss of about 400,000 jobs and how will you be able to earn money when you have lost your job? So do you still want that robot? It might take your job away. So you should do your work instead of a robot doing it for you which means there are less chances of you losing your job.

In this generation almost every child depends on technology especially with robots. Most likely in the future young people will always depend on robots instead of being independent. Study reveals robots have the power to significantly influence children. While adults may have a mature mind, children still need to develop a type of maturity as they grow. You don't want your children to depend on robots right? So throw that robot in the trash.

It is clear that robots can make you feel lazy even if they can help a lot. So if you don't want to lose your job, throw the robot away.  If you don't want your children to depend on robots then throw it away. Live a healthier life without robots.

Finding Dory

 Hey guys, today I will be sharing my piece of work in Hurumanu 2 which is music. Our teacher has told us to make a background music for a scene from the movie "Finding Dory." We had to make different musics to different parts of the scene. So today I will share it.

I decided to use dark, scary music. Like there are trumpets sounding out of the sky. My music didn't match the scene but it wasn't that bad. Give me some feedback for next time please?
