Wright Brothers

Hey guys, today I will be sharing what I have learnt about the famous inventors called "The Wright Brothers. Our teacher gave us some questions to answer for our blog post.

When were they alive?

The Wright Brothers aren't twins. The oldest one between the two of them is Wilbur Wright. Wilbur Wright was born in 1867 which makes him older. Orville Wright followed in 1871. Wilbur was alive till 1912 and Orville was alive till 1948.

Where did they live? What did they invent?

The Wright Brothers lived in West Dayton in USA. They invented bicycles. Then they got interest into flying so they invented an air-plane.

What did they work on that wasn't successful?

A piece of work that the Wright brothers worked on that wasn't successful was their first aeroplane. It didn't succeed.

What were the challenges they faced?

The Wright brothers faced lots of challenges. Here is one of them: They faced some bad, frustrating weathers. No one had ever built and flown a manned powered airplane before.

Ukulele

Hey guys, today we had to make a blog post about what we learned about ukuleles's today. So in this blog I will explain what we did and what we learned about ukulele's.

What I learned about counting the beat with ukuleles are there are different types of patterns with strumming. I've also learnt that its very hard to switch to another chord. I learned about different types of sizes, and the types of ukuleles. I also learnt that there could be different shapes of ukuleles.

Our teacher showed us the different types of sizes and types of ukuleles. There were four sizes as I can remember. The regular one is called soprano, the second biggest is named concert, the third biggest one is tenor and the biggest one is the baritone. Our teacher showed us the electric ukulele. The electrical ukulele was the type I learnt about.

3 glossary words:

Body: The body is the big part of a ukulele. I think it is the part the holds the whole part of a ukulele.

Strings: The stings are the one that you strum to create the sounds. So you can play musics.

Tuners: Tuners can tune the sound of the strings when you strum it, it also can tighten stuff and loosen.

Rules for Drawing Laboratory Equipment

Hey, today I will be sharing some rules I learnt in science today about drawing laboratory equipment.

The first rule is make sure to use a pencil and not a pen, or marker, it has to be just a pencil. Second rule is to always use a ruler. Make sure all the lines are ruled up including label lines. The third rule is making sure our diagrams are big like large. Fourth rule is never ever shade a drawing, it has to be simple and clear. The fifth rule is all diagrams should always be in 2-D. Last but not least, all labels should be written horizontally.

That is all I have to share today for this blog.

Music | Hurumanu 2

Hi there, today we were told by our teacher to make a blog post about music. What we did yesterday at hurumanu 2. So I will be adding some things our teacher has told us to include in our blog post.

Our class had different opinions on what the definition of music is. Some talked mainly about vocals. Some focused on the instruments but we all had the common one, that is sounds that can come from almost everything, like pencils, instruments, things in the classroom, vocals, nature like the birds, and more.

Our teacher showed us some different types of music that we identified. One of them was a choir.  A choir is full of singers using different tones of voice or using the same tone. We also had an orchestra. An orchestra is a big band with different types of instruments used to make music. They use flutes, violins and brass, there are more than that.

You can almost hear music everywhere us. You can hear music at the supermarket, school, nature, online, or at the radio. You can experience music in a band.

I will end this by saying what I hope to learn about in counting the beat. I really hope to learn the basics of the basic instruments.
